Hotel du Vin Newcastle

Boutique hotel of 42 rooms and suites in a 1908 Tyne Tees Steam Shipping Company warehouse on City Road, with a riverside bistro terrace.

About Hotel du Vin Newcastle

Hotel du Vin Newcastle occupies Allan House, a red-brick Edwardian building on City Road built in 1908 as a warehouse and depot for the Tyne Tees Steam Shipping Company. Photographs of shipping on the Tyne hang throughout the corridors and bedrooms, and the hotel has 42 rooms and suites, including a Bridge View Suite.

Bistro du Vin serves French cooking with a British slant, indoors or on a terrace overlooking the River Tyne, and the hotel has wine cellars and a tasting room used for tastings and masterclasses. It sits at the eastern end of the Quayside, a short walk from the Ouseburn Valley, the Millennium Bridge and the Glasshouse across the river.
