Thornhill Funeral Services is a small independent, family-run funeral director on Mistletoe Road in Jesmond, a short distance north of the city centre. It is personally owned and run by Alexander Thornhill, a fully qualified funeral director and embalmer with more than 20 years' experience and a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors and the British Institute of Embalmers.

The firm arranges traditional and bespoke funerals as well as simple and direct cremations, publishes clear price lists, and guides families at their own pace through the choices involved. Because it is a small independent, arrangements are handled personally from start to finish, giving families a single familiar point of contact.
