The People's Kitchen
Volunteer-run Newcastle charity serving meals and support to homeless and vulnerable people from the Alison Centre on Bath Lane.
About The People's Kitchen
The People's Kitchen has supported homeless and vulnerable people in Newcastle for around forty years, working to fight hunger and loneliness from the Alison Centre on Bath Lane, on the western edge of the city centre. The charity describes itself as run entirely by volunteers.
Meals are served on weekday evenings and weekend mornings. The charity is always looking for more volunteers who can give a few hours a week, and applications are made through an online form on its website.
