About St Oswald's Hospice

St Oswald's Hospice on Regent Avenue in Gosforth is one of the North East's best-known charities, providing specialist palliative care for adults and children with life-limiting conditions through inpatient care, outpatient and day services, and support for families.

Its bereavement support team, made up of specially trained staff and volunteers, offers one-to-one support at the hospice or by phone, group sessions with others in a similar situation, and a programme of remembrance services. Support is open to adults and children whether or not their loved one was cared for by the hospice, and continues for as long as it is needed, although demand is high and there is often a waiting list.
