Newcastle Sports Injury Clinic

Long-established city-centre physiotherapy clinic on Saville Place, founded in 1997 and now part of Pure Physiotherapy, offering physio, sports massage, podiatry and shockwave therapy.

About Newcastle Sports Injury Clinic

Newcastle Sports Injury Clinic was founded by Karen Dearden in 1997 and has been treating musculoskeletal problems from its clinic on Saville Place, just off Northumberland Road, ever since. Now part of the Pure Physiotherapy group, it built its reputation working with elite athletes but treats everyone, from Olympians and weekend runners to people with back pain who do no sport at all. Monument and Haymarket Metro stations are a short walk away, and there are several public car parks nearby.

Each patient starts with a full assessment, and services include physiotherapy, sports massage, podiatry, acupuncture and shockwave therapy. The clinic opens on weekday evenings until 7.30pm on Mondays and Thursdays, with reduced Saturday hours, and appointments can be booked online or by phone. It works with private medical insurers as well as self-funding patients.
