Pet Lamb Patisserie

Grainger Market patisserie run by Katie and Kay, baking brownies, blondies, cupcakes and cookie pies on site.

About Pet Lamb Patisserie

Pet Lamb Patisserie occupies unit 19 in the glass-roofed Arcade section of the Grainger Market and is the sweet counter of the market's food offer. It was set up by best friends Katie and Kay, who taught themselves to bake, and the range has stayed deliberately narrow: cupcakes, cookie pies, blondies and brownies, all made on site using free-range and good-quality ingredients rather than bought in. The brownies are what the reviews are overwhelmingly about, with the salted caramel and the Biscoff versions the most named.

Alongside the counter trade it takes commissions for bespoke celebration and birthday cakes, which is worth knowing if you want something made locally rather than ordered online. Its hours are the tightest of any bakery in the city centre: closed on Monday, open for a short Tuesday afternoon, then Wednesday to Saturday from mid-morning until four, closing with the rest of the market. The market itself is shut all day Sunday, so a trip needs a little planning.
