Northumbria Students' Union
Northumbria University's students' union building on Sandyford Road, home to student services, a cafe and gig space, and the annual Newcastle Beer and Cider Festival each April.
About Northumbria Students' Union
Northumbria Students' Union (NSU) occupies a large building on Sandyford Road at the northern edge of the city centre, a few minutes' walk from Haymarket Metro and the Northumbria University city campus. Day to day it serves students, with an advice centre, a food pantry, Greenhouse Coffee and a programme of gigs and events.
Outside term time the building is also used for public events. Most notably, the Newcastle Beer and Cider Festival, run by volunteers from CAMRA's Tyneside and Northumberland branch, takes over the union each April during the Easter break, with more than 100 cask ales, craft beers, ciders and perries across four days.
