Northern Lotus Sangha

Mindfulness practice group in the Thich Nhat Hanh (Plum Village) tradition, meeting on the second and fourth Monday evenings of the month near St James' Park.

About Northern Lotus Sangha

Northern Lotus Sangha is a Newcastle mindfulness practice group in the tradition of the Zen teacher Thich Nhat Hanh, listed by Plum Village UK, the charity that supports his community in Britain. The group meets twice a month, on the second and fourth Mondays, from 7pm until around 9pm at Earthlings, a vegan cafe on Buckingham Street about five minutes' walk from St James Metro.

Plum Village practice is gentle and accessible, centred on sitting and walking meditation and mindful sharing, which makes the group a good fit for people curious about mindfulness who want to practise in company. The cafe is open beforehand for drinks and food. The group can be contacted by email through its Plum Village UK listing, which carries the latest meeting details.
