Newcastle Foodbank

Newcastle's food bank, founded in 2013, providing food parcels and welfare support through hubs and community pantries across the city.

About Newcastle Foodbank

Newcastle Foodbank provides food and welfare support to people in need across the city from its Foodbank Centre on Benwell Lane and a network of hubs in churches and community buildings. It was founded in 2013 and provided more than 25,500 food parcels in 2023-2024, alongside its Pathways Out of Hunger welfare programme and community pantries.

Volunteers help distribute food parcels, work in the warehouse and support Pantry sessions on weekdays. Businesses can book Thursday team volunteering days.
