Citizens Advice Newcastle

Free, confidential and impartial advice on debt, benefits, housing and consumer problems, based in the City Library.

About Citizens Advice Newcastle

Citizens Advice Newcastle provides free, confidential, independent and impartial advice to people in the city, covering debt and money, benefits, housing and consumer issues, including disputes with traders. Its advice line runs Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm.

The service is based on the fourth floor of the City Library in the Charles Avison Building on New Bridge Street West, with a weekday drop-in from 10am to midday that prioritises people who cannot get advice by phone, email or online. The building has wheelchair access and an induction loop. Services have been restricted by a shortage of volunteer advisers, so check the website before visiting.
