The North East's biggest pantomime returns to the Theatre Royal, with Danny Adams, Clive Webb and Chris Hayward joined by Joe McElderry as the Spirit of the Beans.

The region's flagship festive production brings a giant to the Grey Street stage in a lavish retelling of the classic beanstalk tale. The familiar comic team of Danny Adams and Clive Webb lead the cast as Jack and Farmer Trott, with Chris Hayward returning as the Dame and Joe McElderry taking a magical turn as the Spirit of the Beans. Expect the usual high-energy mix of slapstick, songs, pyrotechnics and spectacular stage effects that have made the Theatre Royal panto a North East institution. The production runs for a long season across the festive period, from late November through to mid-January, with daily performances including evening shows and afternoon matinees. A range of accessible performances is scheduled during the run, including relaxed, audio-described, captioned and BSL-interpreted shows. As one of the fastest-selling pantomimes in the country, early booking is strongly advised. Family tickets and concessions for children aged sixteen and under are available on selected dates.
