Mongolian rock phenomenon The HU roar into Newcastle's O2 City Hall on their Warrior Chant Tour, bringing their thunderous fusion of heavy rock and traditional Mongolian throat singing to one of the city's grandest music rooms. Armed with the horsehead fiddle (morin khuur), the tovshuur lute and those extraordinary guttural vocals, the band have built a fierce global following and a genuinely unlike-anything-else live show. Taking their name from the Mongolian root word for human being, The HU marry ancient instrumentation with the scale and swagger of modern rock, and their Newcastle date comes with special guests SKALD in support. Tickets start from around £30 for what promises to be one of the autumn's most distinctive and physically loud nights out.
