About The Forth
The Forth is on Pink Lane, the narrow street running behind Central Station, and is one of the easiest city-centre pubs to reach if you are arriving by train. It is a comfortable lounge-bar rather than a traditional boozer, with sofas, a quieter side room, a real fire in winter and five hand pulls on the bar.
Upstairs there is a roof garden that doubles as the smoking area and is one of the better outdoor spaces in this part of town. The pub opens from noon and runs later at weekends, and its Monday quiz gives the quietest night of the week a reason to turn up.
