About The Dispensary Coffee House + Eatery
The Dispensary sits on Heber Street, tucked behind St James' Park and a few minutes' walk up from the western end of the city centre. The fit-out runs with an apothecary and laboratory theme, and it has built a following on social media for the scale of its pancake stacks, which arrive loaded with Biscoff, Nutella or strawberries and are the reason most people make the trip.
Beyond the pancakes the menu is a proper brunch list: a build-your-own full English, eggs Benedict, French toast, chicken and waffles, avocado toast with poached eggs and dirty breakfast fries, with vegan and gluten-free versions of much of it. It is open from 8am to 5pm every day with last food orders at 3.30pm. Unusually for a spot this popular it takes bookings, and at weekends that is worth using rather than joining the queue.
