Pani's
Family-run Italian restaurant on High Bridge serving Sardinian-influenced cooking since 1995, a long-standing pre-theatre favourite near the Theatre Royal.
About Pani's
Pani's opened on High Bridge in 1995 and describes itself as the first true Italian and Sardinian cafe in Newcastle. Tucked down the narrow lane between Grey Street and Pilgrim Street, it has built a loyal following for a menu that leans on the dishes and wines of Sardinia rather than a generic list of Italian standards.
It is open Monday to Saturday for lunch and dinner and closed on Sundays, and it gets busy on Friday and Saturday nights. With the Theatre Royal a couple of minutes away, it is a popular choice before a show, and tables can be reserved online or by phone.
