Moku
Hawaiian-influenced independent kitchen on the Side, serving daytime brunch and a bottomless option before switching to a grill menu.
About Moku
Moku occupies a unit on the Side, the steep old street curving down from St Nicholas' Cathedral towards the Quayside. It rebranded from Hula in July 2025 and keeps a Hawaiian influence running through the cooking, which in practice means brunch plates with more going on than the standard eggs-and-toast list.
The daytime menu runs from 10am to 3.30pm and is built around a loaded hash bowl, Turkish eggs, French toast, avocado toast and a wela cured-salmon poke bowl, with a bottomless brunch at a fixed price per head running alongside the a la carte in slots through the early afternoon for tables of up to six. The grill menu takes over from mid-afternoon and it stays open into the evening. Bookings are taken and worth making at weekends. Note that it is card payment only.
