Di Meo's Ouseburn
Riverside gelateria at the mouth of the Ouseburn from the family ice cream business best known for its Whitley Bay parlour.
About Di Meo's Ouseburn
Di Meo's is a family ice cream business dating back to 1918, and its Ouseburn parlour on Riverside Walk sits beside the River Tyne a short walk east of the Quayside. The signature vanilla is made to a secret family recipe, the pistachio uses Bronte pistachios from Mount Etna and the strawberry gelato is made with at least 50% fruit.
Several flavours have won gold medals in national ice cream competitions and carry Great Taste Award recognition, and the menu also includes sorbetto, pizza and coffee. The business has further parlours in Whitley Bay and Tynemouth and offers catering for events.
