Bealim House occupies a converted former print works at 17 to 25 Gallowgate, on the western edge of the city centre a short walk from St James' Park and the Chinatown arch. It is run by the Vaulkhard Group and is home to the Newcastle Gin Company, with a working gin still on the premises, which the operators describe as the only in-house still in the city. The building's industrial past has been kept visible rather than plastered over: bare varnished brickwork, exposed structure, wooden floors and large windows onto Gallowgate, with seating spread across a big open room and a mezzanine level.

The drinks offer leans on that distilling connection. Gin flights and cocktails built around the house spirit sit alongside a wider bar list and a food menu, and the venue runs gin and cocktail masterclasses as a regular fixture, which makes it a common choice for group bookings and celebrations. It is one of the more useful city centre addresses on a match day given the proximity to the stadium, and its position on Gallowgate puts it within easy reach of the Bigg Market, Newgate Street and the Grainger Town streets to the east.
