With Hasan in Gaza at Star and Shadow
Kamal Aljafari's documentary built from footage shot in Gaza in 2001, screened for Palestine Cinema Days.
About This Event
In 2001 film-maker Kamal Aljafari went to Gaza looking for a former prison cellmate, and his search became a road trip with a local guide, Hasan, whose fate is now unknown. Built from that footage, the 106-minute film is a reflection on loss and memory. The screening is part of Palestine Cinema Days, held each year on 2 November, the anniversary of the Balfour Declaration. Doors open at 6pm; entry is free with donations welcome.
