Gosforth's big community fireworks night on Broadway West, raising money for local causes. Tickets online only — there are no sales on the gate.
About This Event
The Newcastle Round Table has run Gosforth's fireworks extravaganza for years, and it remains the biggest organised display in this part of the city. It takes place at the Gosforth Sports Association ground on Broadway West, with gates opening at 5pm and the fireworks going up at around 7pm. The organisers ask everyone to be on site by 6.45pm so the display can start on time. Food and drink stalls run through the earlier part of the evening, and all proceeds go to causes the Round Table supports across Newcastle. Two things are worth knowing before you set off. Tickets are sold online only — there are no sales at the gate — and there is no parking at the ground, so the organisers ask people to travel by Metro or on foot. Regent Centre and South Gosforth are both a walk away.
