A Mummers Winter Ceilidh: Baron Big Oil's Return
Storytellers Streetband present a seasonal family ceilidh mixing live music, theatre, storytelling and social dancing at the Star and Shadow.
About This Event
The Mummers Winter Ceilidh returns to the Star and Shadow with Storytellers Streetband, blending a traditional social-dancing ceilidh with theatre and storytelling into one riotous seasonal family show. This year's instalment, subtitled Baron Big Oil's Return, brings new dances and guests, with a turn from storyteller Chris Bostock. No dancing experience is needed. The caller walks everyone through the steps, making it an easy, inclusive night out for families and newcomers to folk dancing alike, all set to live music from the band. The event is volunteer-run at the community-owned Star and Shadow venue, with accessibly priced tickets for adults and children. Booking is through the venue.
