About This Event
A double bill of adventurous, off-kilter pop lands in the Ouseburn. Marina Zispin is a synth-pop duo split between Newcastle and London, weaving surreal soundscapes that blur fantasy and reality and find something sacred in the everyday. Sharing the night is Jæd, the experimental prog-pop and art-rock project led by multi-instrumentalist Jennifer Evans, whose live shows swing between real tenderness and charismatic chaos over serrated guitars and shifting rhythms. Jæd has picked up support from BBC Radio 6 Music, Rough Trade and Paste Magazine, so this intimate room is a good chance to catch the band up close. Cobalt's Venue Space is fully wheelchair accessible.
