About This Event
Ish is a multi-award-winning debut feature about two twelve-year-old best friends in Luton whose bond fractures after a traumatic police stop-and-search. Tender and unflinching, it has drawn strong notices on the festival circuit for its performances and its handling of friendship, race and coming of age. This Tyneside Cinema preview is followed by a live Q&A with director Imran Perretta and producer Dhiraj Mahey, an insight into how the film was made and the real experiences behind it.
