About This Event

A double bill of avant-garde music and spoken word in Sage Two, presented in partnership with Jazz North East. In the first half, musicians Steve Beresford and Tania Chen perform their take on John Cage's Indeterminacy while Stewart Lee reads randomly selected stories from 90 cue cards. The second half is Pea Green Boat, a new retelling of Edward Lear's tale, with Lee joined by award-winning improviser Mariam Rezaei on turntables. Books with illustrations by David Waywell will be on sale after the show. Recommended for ages 16 and over; availability is limited.
